Goodland Raceway Hosts 36th Annual Flatlanders Festival Racing!

Fifty-nine race teams checked into Goodland Raceway for the 36th Annual Flatlanders Festival Races! Visiting victory lane were Cody Williams in the sport mod, Nick Ronnebaum in the hobby stock, Jason Rogers in the stock car and Dominic Ursetta in the modified!

Williams Lights Out In Sport Mod Action!

Cody Williams and Josh Barnhart won the sport mod heat races, their fifteen lap main event started with a front row of Jack Kirchoff and Cody Williams. Williams used the middle lane to gain an early lead and never looked back. Barnhart sailed from a fifth place starting spot to second, but was unable to make up the ground on Williams. Cody Williams grabbed the feature win, his fourth of the year in the sport mod! Second was Josh Barnhart, third was Will Wolf, fourth was Monty Nordyke and fifth was Ryan Kirchoff! Hard charger in the event was Josh Barnhart who gained three spots!

Ronnebaum Survives Tricky Hobby Feature!

Nick Tubbs, Nick Ronnebaum and Aiden Miller all won hobby heat races, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Mitchell Fischer and Wade Kolbo. Multiple spins and a slow rollover, plagued the start of the feature. Once the field got rolling Ronnebaum was hard to catch, even through lapped traffic he held a one second lead. Brent Beaumont had a head of steam and charged to second, but was unable to track down Ronnebaum. Nick Ronnebaum picked up his twenty-first win on the season. Second went to Brent Beaumont, third was Wade Kolbo, fourth was Levi Lippelmann, and fifth was Brady White! Hard charger was Brent Beaumont who gained nine spots, other nice runs included Brady White and Christopher Glass up eight spots each, while Ronnebaum gained five spots!

Ursetta Dominant in Modified Action!

The modifieds ran third on the show with two heat races won by Dominic Ursetta and John Fabrizius. Their fifteen lap main event started with a front row of Jason Haug and Dominic Ursetta, Ursetta jumped to an early lead and never really looked back. Darren Crouch and Greg Gustus put on a hell of a show for second place, behind a dominant Ursetta. Crouch and Gustus exchanged Christmas cards, sliders, and I think even the kitchen sink as the two tussled for second place. Dominic Ursetta grabbed his first win of the season. Second went to Greg Gustus, third to Darren Crouch, fourth to John Fabrizius, and fifth to Jason Haug. Hard charger in the event was Greg Gustus who gained seven spots!

Rogers Wins Stock Car Thriller!

Brendyn Nordyke, Charlie Cook and Doug Holzmeister all grabbed stock car heat race wins, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Wheat Lippelmann and Eric Munoz. Quickly Kolby Stegman shot to the race lead, but it did not last long as Troy Burkhart took over the lead. Burkhart led for a few laps, while the stock cars really battled the track. Attrition set in and the veteran drivers rose to the task. Late in the feature Brendyn Nordyke and Jason Rogers started bouncing off the ruts in the track to gain advantage on each other. The win came down to the final lap as Rogers was able to hold Nordyke off. Jason Rogers grabbed his fourth win of the season! Second was Brendyn Nordyke, third was Tyler Tipton who rebounded from an early spin, fourth was Carson Lang who also rebounded from trouble, and fifth was Layne Bellm! Hard charger in the event was Carson Lang who gained sixteen spots! Lang was battling up front and spun, and was able to race back to fourth! Other nice runs included Layne Bellm up eleven spots, while Brendyn Nordyke and Tyler Tipton gained seven spots each, and Jason Rogers gained six spots!
