Nick Ronnebaum Scores 100th Win in Goodland!

Thirty-eight race teams closed out the regular season at the Goodland Raceway tonight, visiting victory lane were Josh Barnhart in the sport mod, Nick Ronnebaum in the hobby stock, Bill Brack in the stock car and Justin Bussell in the modified!


Barnhart Strong in Sport Mod Action!

The sport mods started the show off, they ran a heat race won by Jayden Alvarado. Jayden Alvarado and Jack Kirchoff led the field to the green flag, Alvarado led the first lap. Josh Barnhart came sailing to the lead on lap two. Laps three and four saw Alvarado apply pressure on Barnhart, but never was able to get by. Ryan Kirchoff made a charge to third late in the feature but the field single filed out with big gaps in between everyone. Josh Barnhart cruised to the weekend sweep, wins five and six on the season! Second went to Jayden Alvarado, third to Ryan Kirchoff, fourth to Jack Kirchoff and fifth to Brianna Maughlin! Hard charger in the field was Barnhart who gained four spots, while Kirchoff gained three spots!

Ronnebaum Scores 100th Win!

The hobby stocks were second on the program, they ran two heat races won by Bingston Rogers and Levi Lippelman. Their main event was led to the green flag by the duo. Rogers took the early lead, while the rest of the field got chaotic with a couple three wide battles ensuing. Nick Ronnebaum was quickly making a charge to the front and by lap three was in second place. Rogers led until lap four when Ronnebaum got by. Levi Lippelman lost power down the frontstretch and came to a stop to bring the field to a caution on lap four. Ronnebaum sailed off on the restart, never looking back. Nick Tubbs in a return after a four year hiatus put on a show battling side by side with Mitchell Fischer for second late in the feature. Nick Ronnebaum picked up his fifteenth win on the season and his one hundredth IMCA win! Second went to Mitchell Fischer, third was Nick Tubbs in his return to racing, fourth was Aiden Miller and fifth was Ted Trumbo who had a strong run. Hard charger in the field was Mitchell Fischer who gained nine spots! Other nice runs included Ronnebaum up eight spots, Tubbs and Billy Phelps up seven spots each, Christopher Glass up five spots and Aiden Miller up four spots!

Brack Paces Stock Car Field!

The stock cars were third on the card, Bill Brack and Tyler Tipton won heat races. The main event was led to green by Bill Brack and Drew Miller. Brack got the early lead as Miller fell into a side by side battle with Phil Reid, Reid got by Miller after a lap, and found his way to the race lead after five laps. His lead was short lived however, as Bill Brack regained the lead on lap six. Reid then fell into the clutches of Doug Holzmeister and Jason Rogers. Rogers was able to get second place, but ran out of laps before being able to catch Brack. Bill Brack picked up his third win of the season, second went to Jason Rogers, Phil Reid was able to hold on to third, while Doug Holzmeister finished fourth and Tyler Tipton finished fifth! Hard charger in the event was Jason Rogers who gained six spots, while Doug Holzmeister gained three spots!

Bussell Tops Modified Field!

The modifieds closed out the show, their one heat race was won by Justin Bussell. The front row of their main event saw Justin Bussell and Danny Keller lead the field to green. Bussell jumped out to an early lead as Keller immediately fell back, Darren Crouch settled into second and Nick Link in third. Laps two and three were the closest Crouch got to Bussell, but was unable to find a way around. Bussell led wire to wire to win his first feature of the year. Second was Darren Crouch, third was Bubba Alvarado and fourth was Danny Keller. Nick Link was unable to finish after having a left rear tire go flat in the closing laps. Hard charger in the event was Bubba Alvarado who gained two spots!
