An Exciting Evening of High-Octane Competition 

Saturday night at the Salina Speedway brought thrilling IMCA racing action as drivers battled for supremacy in several high-stakes events. The field raced for the Bill Clanton Memorial which featured higher purses for the hobby stock and modified classes, while honoring a track legend! Fans were treated to a mix of intense heat races and feature events that showcased skillful driving and dramatic comebacks across multiple divisions. 


Martinez Grabs Another Compact Victory!

The sport compact races showcased thrilling competition and impressive driving skills. In the heats, John Martinez claimed victory in Heat 1, while Kaishen Brack emerged triumphant in Heat 2. The twelve-lap feature race began with Cody Rigsby and Colten Halpain on the front row, setting the stage for intense action. 

Ultimately, John Martinez secured the win in the feature race, advancing eight positions to take the top spot. Alex Boyden delivered a strong performance, moving up from fifth place to finish second. Despite starting on the pole, Cody Rigsby fell to third place. Kaishen Brack gained momentum from his eighth-place start to claim fourth, and Ryan Ayers rounded out the top five after beginning in fourth. Martinez gained his twelfth win of the season!

Ronnebaum Tops Hobby Stock Field!

The hobby stock division was equally engaging, with Nick Ronnebaum, Trey Collins, and Billy McBride winning their respective heat races. Alec Jeske and Charlie Slothower began the fifteen-lap feature from the front row, setting the tone for an electrifying battle. 

Nick Ronnebaum displayed remarkable driving prowess, advancing eight spots from ninth to claim the win. Eric Cross surged forward nine positions to finish second, while Chase Davis grabbed third after moving up one spot. Billy McBride gained two positions to secure fourth, and Trey Collins rounded out the top five with a three-spot climb. 

The biggest movers of the hobby stock feature were Eric Cross and Brent Beaumont, each advancing nine spots. Other notable performances included Lane Crowder’s five-position climb and Trace Lobdell’s four-spot gain. Ronnebaum collected win number two of his season!

Barnes Rolls To Sport Mod Victory!

The sport mod heat races had Warren Huffman and Luke Stallbaumer emerge victorious. These wins fueled their confidence heading into the feature event. In the feature race, Conner Barnes delivered a standout performance, climbing six spots to secure the win. Luke Stallbaumer, who started from the pole, held his ground to finish second. Dylan Cherry matched Barnes' six-spot gain to clinch third, followed by Warren Huffman in fourth and Koby Rigsby in fifth. Notable movers included Cameron Hammett, who also climbed six positions.

Eubanks Fastest in Stock Car Action!

Dylan Holt and Tyler Frye claimed victories in the stock car heat races, setting the stage for an intense feature race. Bobby Eubanks claimed the feature win with a strategic drive that saw him gain five spots. Dylan Holt and Tyler Frye followed in second and third, with Frye impressively gaining seven positions. Hunter Vogan and Kaide Gropp rounded out the top five, each advancing three spots. Ryan Carey stole the spotlight as the biggest mover of the night, surging ten positions to make his mark.

Lagroon Outduels Son in Modified Thriller!

The modified division heat race was a straightforward affair, with Cale Lagroon taking the win and setting up a competitive feature event. In the feature race, Corey Lagroon emerged victorious, gaining four positions from his fifth-place start to take the win. His son, Cale Lagroon, dropped from the front row to finish fifth. Brad Morris delivered a solid performance to claim second, followed by Curtis Barnes in third and Tim Hamilton in fourth. The competition was fierce, but Corey Lagroon’s experience and consistency ultimately gave him the edge over the field.

The evening at Salina Speedway was a testament to the skill, strategy, and passion that define IMCA racing. Fans left with memories of breathtaking overtakes and tightly contested battles, eagerly anticipating the next round of racing action.
