Almost Race Season in Kansas!

March is here and that means the offseason enters the final stretch! Soon the late nights in the shop will start paying off, the engines will fire, the dirt will fly and the fans cheers will fill the seats of our racetracks!


RPM Speedway in Hays kicks off the season with their annual Sunflower Classic, a two day event with two complete shows is the perfect way to lock back into racing mode. Along with the Classic to start the year, Hays will host fourteen events throughout the year, twelve of them featuring IMCA action! Two events will feature a newly reorganized United Rebel Sprint Series and two events will allow fans to catch the thrills of tractor pulls! Promoter Chris Sutton has made some changes to pricing of events and pit passes, along with some programs to help racers throughout the season, as he looks to host a great season at Hays’s local dirt track!


Kyler Fetter’s Dodge City Raceway Park is set to host a huge event on March 28th as he aims to welcome in the Interstate Batteries High Limit Series. This high flying 410 sprint series was founded and ran by 410 superstars Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet. Their business model has worked extremely well in timely ran shows to give fans the best experience possible, adding to the show will be an invite only sport mod show! Dodge City will also host the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series on September 12th and the USAC National Sprint Car Series on October 16th! All part of a nineteen event schedule, with a few special events! Fetters vows to bring big name action to Southwest Kansas’s passionate racing fans!


WaKeeney Speedway gears up for another great season at the Historic Speedway, promoters Barrett and Danielle Wagoner continue their pursuit to keep WaKeeney as a top tier destination for racing fans and drivers! Their nine race schedule includes a double header weekend with the REV Late Model Series who put on a helluva show last season! Wagoner also unveils his inaugural “Battle For The Belt” show October 15th through the 17th! WaKeeney has shown over the years how great their racing action can be and the Wagoners look to put another great season together for year three of their program!


Rooks County Speedway in Stockton will have a new look, but the racing will be the same if not a bit better! The track has been cut down from its history 1/2 mile configuration to a 3/8 mile configuration to better suit drivers and fans, this configuration helps bring multiple races to Stockton and has generated a lot of buzz throughout the offseason! Their seven race schedule offers multiple opportunities to see the new configuration that has drivers and fans excited!


Thomas County Speedway in Colby returns to racing action with another healthy eight race schedule! Including the Dave Garmann Memorial shifting from Dodge City to Colby! Promoter Jason McIntyre made a couple safety improvements to ensure safe and exciting racing action in Colby!


Rush County Speedway in Lacrosse will host a three race schedule this season with a United Rebel Sprint Series show, a Fair Race and a date with the REV Late Model Series!


Salina Speedway is back with another twenty-two event schedule, full of IMCA action, along with a new crown vic class, late models and a demo derby. There will be plenty of racing action for fans to enjoy in Salina!


The Mitchell County Fairgrounds in Beloit will feature six events on their schedule this season. One United Rebel Sprint Series event along with the 15th Annual Chad McDaniel Memorial featuring the USAC National Midget Series!


SaltCity Racing hosts an eight race schedule as the state’s only full time active 1/2 mile will wow fans with multiple national tours making a stop! USAC’s Silver Crown Series invades on May 9th, the ASCS 360 Tour stops on May 30th, and the REV Late Model Series settles in for two nights on August 21st and 22nd! Phil Nightingale and company are excited for another historic season at the state fairgrounds 1/2 mile!


IMCA.TV along with WaKeeney Speedway, RPM Speedway in Hays, and Sheldon Wickwar are thrilled to bring back live coverage of every event in WaKeeney and Hays! We’d love to see you at the racetrack in person but we got you covered if you cannot make it!

Chronicles From The Cushion returns as Tanner Schmidt and Sheldon Wickwar aim to bring you awesome prerace interviews throughout the season! The first on track guests will be Cole Pfeifer and the rest of his Getaway Motorsports team that includes Chris Oliver, Eric Cross and Tyler Heath!
