Schwien Grabs Compact Win!
Brock Leibhart grabbed the only sport compact heat race win, the feature lined up with a front row of Gage Porter and Mitch Conner. Porter took an inital lead before suffering a mechanical issue, the lead was handed to Connor Schwien who held the lead throughout the event. A late caution forced the driver to refocus, and he held the field off to pick up his third win of the season. Second was Mitch Conner, third was Kyle Mortensen, fourth was Nathan Vollbracht and fifth was Dan Kruse. Hard charger in the event was Connor Schwien who gained four spots. Nathan Vollbracht, Dan Kruse and Makennon Sanders all gained three spots each.

Troy Burkhart Holds off Tathan Burkhart for Stock Win!
Kolby Stegman won the only stock car heat, their feature lined up with a front row of Troy Burkhart and Quinton Yutterman. Troy took an early race lead, but the top four battled closely throughout the event. The closing laps saw Tathan Burkhart close in on his dad but ultimately ran out of laps. Troy Burkhart grabbed his fourth win of the season. Second went to Tathan Burkhart, third went to Kyle Pfeifer, fourth was Quinton Yutterman and fifth was Kolby Stegman. Hard chargers in the class were Tathan Burkhart and Kyle Pfeifer who gained two spots each.

Bell Grabs Hobby St0ck Win!
Dylan Bell and Cody Williams both grabbed hobby stock heat race wins, their feature event saw a front row of Carson Hageman and Cody Williams lead the class to green. Williams fired off with the early lead but quickly Dylan Bell and Zach Olmstead sliced through the field to find control. Olmstead got to the race lead, and led for a while, swapping the lead with Dylan Bell. With just a couple laps to go, Olmstead lost the power plant underneath his car and surrendered the lead to Dylan Bell. Bell went on to pick up his second win of the season, extending his streak of top three finishes to ten features in a row, before losing the streak Saturday Night, in Salina. Garritt Caswell finished second, Levi Jones finished third, Mitchell Fischer finished fourth and James Love finished fifth. Hard chargers in the class were Garrit Caswell and Levi Jones who gained eight spots each, other nice runs included class rookie Ted Trumbo up six spots, Brett Conness up five spots and Dylan Bell up four spots.

Walt Prevails on Final Sport Mod Restart!
The sport mods had a busy show, as they ran three heat races won by Dylan Jacobson, Cody Geahart and Brianna Maughlin, they also ran a b-feature won by Chad Dolan. Their main event started with a front row of Jeff Ray and Ryan Kirchoff, Kirchoff stormed out to an early lead as he had his First- Class Chassis set on point this weekend. Kirchoff led the first sixteen laps before a lapped car of Ace Plummer went for a spin, collecting Jack Kirchoff. Both drivers saw their nights end, meanwhile, the restart put sport mod veteran Blaine Walt on the inside of the first full row, Ryan Kirchoff fired off well and led for a couple more laps before Walt got by on the inside lane. Once Walt got by, Kirchoff fired one more hail Mary attempt for the win but came up short. Blaine Walt picked up his fourth win of the season, third at WaKeeney after sweeping the John Fose Memorial races earlier this month. Second went to Ryan Kirchoff, third was Cody Gearhart, fourth was Tyler Watts and fifth was Brianna Maughlin. Hard charger in the event was Carson Lang who gained eleven spots, other nice runs included Blaine Walt and Chad Dolan up eight spots each, Cody Gearhart up seven spots, and Tim Watts up four spots.

Sproul Dominant in Mod Action!
Clay Money and Kyle Rohleder grabbed the two-heat race wins in the modified class. Their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Dalton Murphy and Dakota Sproul; Sproul easily took the initial lead and started clicking laps off. Later in the race, Mike Bainter and Kyle Rohleder came together, while Rohleder had a right rear tire going down, Rohleder was able to continue in the race. Sproul was virtually untouchable as he led wire to wire, late Clay Money made a charge, but the Penokee native could not find a way around Sproul. Dakota Sproul went on to win his third race of the season, and his second straight at WaKeeney. Second was Clay Money, third was Dylan Sherfick, Kyle Rohleder bounced back to finish fourth and Cale Lagroon finished fifth. Hard charger in the event was Tanner Clough who gained seven spots, other nice runs included Kyle Rohleder up six spots, Clay Money and Jason Ward up five spots each. Stock Car driver Kyle Pfeifer jumped in Daniel Gottschalk's modified to make his debut in the class and finished tenth after gaining three spots.

The next event at the "Historic" WaKeeney Speedway will be the Revival Dirt Late Model Series storming Wakeeney on June 27th with the IMCA hobby stocks and sport compacts as support classes. The event will be streamed live on IMCATV if you are unable to attend in person.
