Rooks County Speedway finished off their first points season in some time on Sunday. September 20th! Visiting victory lane as feature winners were Nick Ronnebaum in the hobby stock, Corey Lagroon in the modified, Kyle Mortensen in the sport compact, Tathan Burkhart in the stock car, Blaine Walt in the sport mod and Nolan Remus in the crown vic! Claiming track titles were Andrew Burg in the hobby stock, Dakota Sproul in the modified, Gage Porter in the sport compact, Tathan Burkhart in the stock car Tyler Watts in the sport mod and Cory Jones in the crown vic!
Ronnebaum Bests Hobby Field!
Trent Matson and Nick Ronnebaum won hobby stock heat races, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Nick Ronnebaum and Brandon Wise. Ronnebaum took early control of the feature, meanwhile a four wide battle broke out for second place. Dane Headrick got to second place after four laps, but was under fire from Zach Olmstead. The field started to single file out and Ronnebaum was able to run away with the win. Nick Ronnebaum grabbed his twentieth win on the season! Second went to Dane Headrick, third was Trent Matson, fourth was Zach Olmstead and fifth was Andrew Burg! Hard charger in the event was Dane Headrick who gained six spots!
Andrew Burg won the track title by ten points over Trent Matson, third was Dane Headrick, fourth was Kasen Zorn and fifth was Zach Olmstead!
Mortensen Strong in Compact Action!
Gage Porter won the only sport compact heat race, their twelve lap main event started with a front row of Madison Reed and Kaishen Brack. Brack grabbed the early lead, meanwhile, Madison Reed found himself in a three wide battle for second with Kyle Mortensen and Gage Porter. Lap two saw Kyle Mortensen gain control of second, and start hunting Brack for the race lead. Kyle Mortensen grabbed the race lead down the backstretch on lap five, but Brack battled back to lead at the line. The duo ran side-by-side for a lap and with five laps to go Mortensen took control of the race lead. The final four laps saw the trio battle closely, with Mortensen surviving to grab the win. Kyle Mortensen grabbed his second win of the season! Second went to Gage Porter, third to Kaishen Brack, fourth to Dan Kruse, and fifth to Cam Adams. Hard charger in the event was Gage Porter who gained three spots.
Gage Porter grabbed the track title by two points over Kyle Mortensen. Third was Dan Kruse, fourth was Kaishen Brack and fifth was Madison Reed!
2Fiddy Burkhart Grabs Stock Win and Track Title!
David Murray Jr, and Troy Burkhart grabbed heat race wins for the stock cars, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Carson Lang and Jason Dove. Carson Lang held the lead through the first corner, but quickly a four wide battle ensued, Lang led lap one. Caution came out as Jeremy Zorn spun in one and two collecting Tathan Burkhart, Curt Croisant and Chase Conaway. All drivers were able to continue, and Lang restarted the field. A three wide battle for third broke out as Tathan Burkhart was ready to rock and roll. Tathan Burkhart took control of second on lap three, and started tracking down rookie Carson Lang. Meanwhile, David Murray Jr, Jason Rogers and Kyle Pfeifer were battling for third place. A restart allowed Tathan Burkhart to grab the race lead over Lang to lead a lap. but quickly Murray Jr took the lead, a lap later Tathan took control again just before halfway. Lap ten saw Lang jump back to second place but 2Fiddy was running away with the lead. Late in the feature Jason Rogers crawled to second place, but was unable to take the lead from Tathan. Tathan Burkhart went on to win his fourth race on the season! Second went to Jason Rogers, third to David Murray Jr, fourth to Carson Lang and fifth to Kyle Pfeifer! Hard charger in the event was Tathan Burkhart who gained six spots!
Tathan Burkhart won the track title by sixteen points over his father Troy, third was Tim Watts, fourth was Kyle Pfeifer and fifth was Dylan Bell!
Walt Steals Sport Mod Win Late!
Blaine Walt and Kam Gruber grabbed sport mod heat race wins, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Sterling Judy and Kam Gruber. Gruber lead early, meanwhile, Walt flew to the front and forced the issue three wide right away for the race lead. Walt settled into second place on lap two, meanwhile, Chad Dolan was making a run to the front. Lap four saw Walt run side-by-side for the lead with Gruber. Caution came out as Josiah Lopez and Tracy Holloway went for spins in turns one and two. Gruber restarted the field, and Tyler Watts took the field three wide trying to enter the top-five. Jimmy Sindelar used the top side on a restart to fly to the race lead, and started clicking off laps. A third caution came out on lap seven, Sindelar restarted the field, and was immediately pressured by Walt. At halfway, Sindelar was still in control over Walt, but the veteran racer was not going down without a fight. A late race restart allowed Gruber and Walt to pounce back on Sindelar, but with five laps to go Sindelar still held control. With four laps to go, a restart saw Tyler Watts challenge for the lead with a side-by-side move. With two laps to go a caution came out, forcing the field to withstand a green, white, checkered attempt. Sindelar held off a slider in one and two, but in three and four Walt pulled the slider. On the final lap, Sindelar cleared with a slider, but the crossover on the backstretch was too much, and Walt stole the victory. Blaine Walt grabbed his fourth win of the season, second went to Jimmy Sindelar, third to Tyler Watts, fourth to Chad Dolan and fifth was Kam Gruber. Hard chargers in the event were Tyler Watts and Justin Lampe who gained five spots each.
Tyler Watts won the track title by twenty-seven points over Tracy Holloway, third was Josiah Lopez, fourth was Blaine Walt and fifth was Sam McCune!
Remus Strong in Crown Vic Action!
Nolan Remus won the only crown vic heat race, their ten lap feature started with a front row of Devin Princ and Colton Pfeifer. Princ took the early race lead, but Remus grabbed the lead down the backstretch to lead lap one. Princ fell back to fourth, as Remus started to pull away. Three laps in caution came out for a spin by Parker Eck. Remus restarted the field, and led for a few more laps. Caution came out again, Remus restarted the field and led the remaining four laps. Nolan Remus grabbed his third win of the season, all three coming at Rooks County. Second was Trent Peltier, third was Colton Pfeifer, fourth was Devin Princ, fifth was Tristan Voyles and Cory Jones rounded out the field in sixth.
Cory Jones won the track title by seven points over Trent Peltier, third was Colton Pfeifer, fourth Nolan Remus and fifth was Devin Princ!
Lagroon Grabs Modified Win!
Corey Lagroon and Clay Money both won heat races for the modifieds, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Corey Lagroon and Dalton Bell. Lagroon jumped out to the early lead, but quickly Sherfick and Money were making moves through the field. Lap two saw Sherfick battle Dalton Bell side-by-side for third, with Money jumping at the opportunity to make moves. Money split the duo three wide to jump to the third spot after a few laps. Lagroon scooted away from the field, as he held a good lead over Paxton Dody who had some ground over Money and company. Daniel Gottschalk followed Money throughout the feature to make moves through the field. Jason Ward spun in turn one and put the field back on Lagroon's spoiler with eleven laps remaining. Money secured second on the restart momentarily, before Gottschalk and Dody forced it three wide. At the halfway point Lagroon led by three car lengths over Money, and was turning the fastest laps. Money tried to chase down Lagroon in the closing laps with the quickest car on track, but came up short. Corey Lagroon was able to win by half a second, his fourth win of the season! Second went to Clay Money, third was Daniel Gottschalk, fourth was Paxton Dody, and fifth was Dalton Bell! Hard chargers in the event were Clay Money and Daniel Gottschalk who gained six spots each!
Dakota Sproul won the track title by twenty-nine points over Ayden Steffens, third was Daniel Gottschalk, fourth Dalton Murphy and Paxton Dody was fifth!
