Porter Keeps Pressure On!

Gage Porter won the only sport compact heat race of the night, their twelve-lap main event started with a front row of Nathan Vollbracht and Grant Logue. Quickly Gage Porter and Brock Leibhart got to the top two spots. While Kaishen Brack fell in line behind the leaders, Porter was able to hold off charges from Brack and Leibhart. Gage Porter grabbed his fifth win of the season, second was Brock Leibhart, third was Kaishen Brack, fourth was Grant Logue and fifth went to Chris Glass. Hard charger in the event was Brock Leibhart who gained three spots.

Yutterman Tames Colby Stock Car Field!

Troy Burkhart and Doug Holzmeister both grabbed stock car heat race wins, while their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Jeff Tubbs and Wheat Lippelman. Jeff Tubbs got a great start and lead the most of the feature as he found success on the bottom of the racetrack. Lap thirteen saw Tubbs and Johnny Yutterman battle side by side, with Yutterman taking control of the lead. Lap fourteen saw caution come out as Kolby Stegman spun Kyle Pfeifer, Pfeifer got his spot back and Stegman went to the tail. Johnny Yutterman pulled away easily to lead the remainder. Johnny Yutterman grabbed his second win of the season, both coming in Kansas, one in Colby and one in Hays. Second went to Quinton Yutterman, third was Jeff Tubbs, fourth was Kyle Pfeifer and fifth was Doug Holzmeister. Hard charger in the event was Kyle Pfeifer who gained twelve spots, other nice runs included, Quinton Yutterman up eight spots, Johnn Yutterman up four spots, and Tathan Burkhart, Bobby Eubanks and Tyler Tipton all gained three spots each.

Barnhart Grabs Another Hometown Win!

Carson Lang won the only heat race for the sport mods, their twenty-lap main event started with a front row of Brady Bencken and Carson Lang. Quickly, Josh Barnhart found the race lead down the backstretch, while Bencken, Lang and Blaine Walt battled three wide for second. Lap four saw Donovan Ohlrogge spin out to bring everyone back to Josh Barnhart's bumper; he took off on the restart and continued to lead. Ryan Kirchoff made a charge to second place and was running similar lap times as he tried to chase down Barnhart. Barnhart was consistent and precise through lapped traffic to hold on to win. Josh Barnhart picked up his fifth win of the season, four of them coming in Colby. Ryan Kirchoff finished second, third was Carson Lang, fourth was Brady Bencken and Blaine Walt finished fifth. Hard chargers in the event were Josh Barnhart and Ryan Kirchoff, who both gained four spots each.

Olmstead Stays Consistent in Colby!

The hobby stocks ran three heat races, with Zach Olmstead, Justin Yutterman and Dylan Bell all grabbing wins. Their twenty-lap feature event started with a front row of Justin Yutterman and rookie Cash Tubbs; Yutterman took the early lead. Yutterman led the first lap before a caution for Jake Eicher slowed the field down. Yutterman restarted the field with Austin Janousek and Cash Tubbs in tow. Meanwhile, Dylan Bell, Bingston Rogers, and Zach Olmstead were making moves through the field. Lap four saw Rogers go for a spin, and the field would undergo another restart. Yutterman would hold his lead until lap seven where another restart saw Olmstead get the best of him. Zach Olmstead would survive the second half of the race while there were side by side battles for position behind him. Zach Olmstead won his eighteenth feature of the season, second was Justin Yutterman, Dylan Bell had a late charge to finish third. Bingston Rogers recovered from the early spin to finish fourth and Brayden Hilzer finished fifth. Hard chargers in the event were Zach Olmstead and Ray West, who gained eleven spots each. Other nice runs included Dylan Bell up eight spots, rookie Ted Trumbo up seven spots, and Jayla Miller along with Hunter Esplund gained five spots each.

Belec Leads Way in Colby!

The modifieds ended the show on Friday, with Dylan Sherfick and Eddie Belec grabbing heat race wins. Their fifteen-lap feature started with a front row of Danny Keller and John Fabrizius, Fabrizius was able to lead lap one before 90's standout driver Mike Bainter took control of the race lead for lap two to lead for the first time since returning to racing last season. Belec and Dakota Sproul quickly stormed the castle to take over the top spots from lap three and on. Eddie Belec was able to lead the remainder; Sproul closed in while the lead duo battled lapped traffic but ultimately came up short. Eddie Belec grabbed his second win of the season, both coming at the Thomas County Speedway, second was Dakota Sproul, third was Dylan Sherfick, fourth was Brandon Clough and fifth was Mike Bainter. Hard charger in the event was Dakota Sproul who gained six spots, other nice runs included Belec and Clough up five spots each, Sherfick gained four spots.
